Stowline Carry started with a spreadsheet of complaints about other people's backpacks. Seven years later the spreadsheet is still open.

Every pattern starts as a paper mock-up on a workbench in Citronelle. We sew a sample, carry it for at least six months — commuter trains, red-eyes, gym floors — and only then decide whether it deserves a production run of a few hundred units.
When something fails, we do not quietly revise it. We publish what broke, fix the pattern, and repair the bags already in the field at no cost to the owner.
1680D ballistic nylon, X-Pac sailcloth laminates and ULTRA fabric — chosen for abrasion resistance, not for how they photograph.
YKK® zippers and Duraflex® buckles in standard sizes, so a repair in ten years does not depend on a proprietary part.
Our litre figures come from bead-fill testing, not from marketing. A 24L pack from us holds 24 litres.
Our bench fixes roughly 400 bags a year. Most come back to their owner inside two weeks, no charge for hardware.
PFC-free DWR finishes and bluesign® approved shell fabrics across the entire current line.
We sell from this store and nowhere else. No wholesale markup, no grey-market listings, no mystery inventory.
Our team answers email in under one business day — including the awkward questions about whether a 35L pack really fits under a Delta seat.
